Journey Into The Runes - Cast 1 Series

The ways of the Old Norse are rooted with a distinct nature of energy, with many facets and layers just like that of Yggdrasil; The Great World Tree. Runes being one of these layers is an ancient Nordic alphabetic language, dating back as early as the 2nd to 8th century. Runes were used for many reasons one of those being, Rune Casting a form of divination for predicting, understanding and also altering the fate of the future. The Norse believed being aware of one's fate allows one to alter what is needed for change and in some cases survival. In a series of 3 different nights and/or days, Jess will be exploring the esoteric meanings, phonetic values and energy of each Rune within the Elder Futhark; consisting of 24 Runes in total. During this 3 part class(8 Runes per class), she will trance Journey you into each Rune with the assistance of her drum and Runic chants, also known as Galdring(the invocation of the Runes).
